Volunteer Interest and Availablity

Float Builders [Now-July 3]

Need as many as possible. Groups, individuals welcome to help build floats for the parade. Times will vary. The float coordinator will contact you for dates/times.

Setup [July 3: 8a–12p]

Setup [July 4: 6:30a–9:30a (Parade)]

Need at least 20 persons for each shift to assist with various pre-event setup tasks.

Volunteer Tent [July 4: 6:30a–8:30a]

Volunteer Tent [July 4: 8:30a–10:30a]

Volunteer Tent [July 4: 10:30a–12:30p]

Volunteer Tent [July 4: 11:30p–1:30p]

Need 2 people in each 2-hour shift.

Balloon Handlers [July 4: 9a–end of parade]

Need 40-60 people to help set-up, walk in the parade and help take down balloons.

Parade Check-in [July 4: 9:00a–11:30a]

Need 10-12 people to assist with checking in and directing parade entrants to the appropriate staging area.

Parade Marshals [July 4: 10a–2p]

Need at least 50 people to help with crowd control, keeping the prade moving along, etc.

General Parade Volunteer [July 4: 9a–2p]

Need 10 people to fill-in where needed.

VIP Parking [July 4: 6p–10:30p]

Need 3 people in 2-2.5 hour shifts to help in the VIP tent. VIP Parking needs 8 people to assist in control of VIP parking lot.

Clean-up: [July 4 10p-complete]

Clean-up of Volunteer tent.

Clean-up: [July 5 9a-complete]

At least 20 people need to finish cleaning up.

Liability Waiver

Injury
I hereby accept and assume full responsibility for any injury I might suffer while volunteering for the Champaign County Freedom Celebration Committee, Inc. I also give permission to CCFC committee members to seek treatment in case of injury and to take other action should a medical emergency arise. I waive and release my right for damages.

Injury for Minors
I give permission to CCFC committee members to seek treatment in case of injury to my son/daughter and allow them to take other action should medical emergency arise. I waive and release my right for damages.
